Hello world,
I’m a design engineer focused on creating intuitive tools and experiences that bridge the gap between design and development
About me
Since studying interface design at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam, I’ve been working apps, websites, data visualization and services across various platforms: computer screens, multi-touch tables, and full-dome projections. I like to challenge the status quo and develop unique solutions.
For years and years to come, I’ve been working on Ratio — a design tool, or series of tools, that brings programming concepts into the design process, allowing designers to work with variables, scales, and functions without leaving their creative environment.
Large language models now enable designers to generate their own disposable design tools on the fly. Years ago, I felt privileged and special to be a designer who knows how to code. I could build my own tools and I wanted to enable other designers to use better tools in their design process. While a lot of my tools never made it over the finish line, my website serves as a public archive of my work. Scrappy, messy, inconsistent, broken – yet inspiring.
Everything is in flux, so for now, you’ll not find a public index of my work here just yet but I share individual posts occasionally.
